Who we are
ChunkyMonkey is an AI short-form video service operated by AlAbdali Tech ("we", "us"), based in Jordan. This policy explains what we collect when you use chunkymonkey.io, why, and what control you have over it. Questions and privacy requests: [contact email — TBD].
What we collect
Account data. Your email address and password (stored hashed) when you create an account.
Content you provide. Videos and audio you upload or link (e.g. YouTube URLs), scripts you write for avatar videos, and brand assets such as your logo watermark.
Generated content. The clips, captions, virality scores and avatar videos our systems produce from your content.
Connected social accounts. If you connect YouTube or X for auto-posting, we store the access tokens those platforms issue. We use them only to publish content you explicitly choose to post. We never read your private messages or post without your action.
Payment data. Payments are handled by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We do not store your card details on our servers.
Usage data.Basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and to operate the service. We also store a theme preference and a session token in your browser's local storage — see Cookies below.
How we use your data
To provide the service: processing your videos into clips, generating avatar videos, applying your brand kit, and posting to accounts you connect. To operate accounts, billing and support. To secure the service and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your videos to train AI models.
Service providers we share data with
We use trusted processors to run ChunkyMonkey: video analysis and clipping providers, AI avatar generation providers, cloud storage and hosting infrastructure, and our payment processor. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function, and each is bound by its own privacy commitments.
YouTube API Services
ChunkyMonkey uses YouTube API Services to let you connect a YouTube channel and publish clips. By connecting YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. We store the OAuth token Google issues solely to upload the videos you choose to publish. You can revoke ChunkyMonkey's access at any time from your Google security settings or by disconnecting the account inside ChunkyMonkey, which deletes the stored token.
X (Twitter) integration
Connecting X works the same way: we store the token X issues, use it only to publish posts you initiate, and delete it when you disconnect the account. You can also revoke access from your X account settings.
Retention and deletion
Uploaded and generated media is retained so you can access your library; you can delete items at any time. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data, stored media and social tokens within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or billing reasons.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR if you are in the EU/EEA and the CCPA if you are in California), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Cookies and local storage
We keep it minimal: a theme preference (light/dark) and an authentication token, stored in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
Children
ChunkyMonkey is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
