The share of viewers who like, comment, share or save — signals that a clip resonated enough to act on.
Engagement rate combines likes, comments, shares and saves relative to views. Shares and saves usually count for more than likes because they signal real value — a viewer thought the clip was worth sending to someone or keeping. Comments also extend a clip's life by driving conversation.
Prompting a specific action ('save this,' 'tag someone') is a common way to lift it.
